This vintage handcrafted metal ship model is constructed from tinplate, formed sheet metal, and wire rigging, reflecting mid-20th-century workshop production of decorative maritime pieces.
The vessel references galleon and clipper design traditions, with hand-cut sails, soldered joints, and a sculptural hull mounted on an integrated scrollwork stand. Surface patination and construction techniques align with the handcrafted decorative metalwork produced from the 1960s to the 1980s for interior display.
At 24 inches in height, the model presents as a substantial nautical statement piece suitable for a bookshelf, console, or office setting.
