Ms. Knauf was a prolific painter, who studied in England, but was mostly self taught and spent many decades residing in Saratoga Springs where she painted a majority of her work. The circa 1980s subject suggests some sort of emotional angst that one can gather from her body position and her hidden face. Perfect gallery wall piece. See less
