A rare paired set of ceramic vases by The Bennetts of California (Caroline & Dud, North Hollywood), dating to the 1940s–1950s. Each features the iconic “Rag Rug” horizontal striation motif, glazed in layered tones of green and chestnut. The set includes one square block form and one rectangular block form — an uncommon pairing that displays beautifully together.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Interiors show minimal evidence of prior planter use, not visible when displayed. Glaze retains strong color and gloss.
Provenance: From a private estate with a strong emphasis on mid-century modern design.
Collectibility: Works by The Bennetts are increasingly sought after by collectors and interior designers for their bold geometric forms and textured surfaces. This matched pair represents a scarce and well-preserved example of their celebrated “Rag Rug” design.
