Rock Sharpe introduced the Fernleigh crystal pattern between 1937 and 1939, featuring a hand-blown, hand-cut fern and leaf motif with a swirl stem. This set of nine water goblets are a delightful display of the design.
While Sharpe focused solely on cutting and marketing glass, they relied on blanks supplied by companies like Libbey. By the late 1930s, Libbey was producing both hand-made and machine-made stemware for Sharpe, eventually acquiring the company in 1947 and moving operations to Toledo in the early 1950s.
