An archival c-print by the American photographer Bruce Checefsky (born 1957). Titled "Wild Geranium - Geranium Maculatum," this photograph depicts a wild geranium in pink, yellow, and green abstracted by glitch-like edits that disrupt the image in unexpected ways. The piece is displayed in a black metal frame with a white mat and is signed and numbered verso.
Photographer and filmmaker Bruce Checefsky was born in Pennsylvania in 1957. He received his MFA in Photography from Cranbrook Academy of Art and later studied at the International Center of Photography in New York City. His work is varied and includes reimagining Easter European short films made between the 1920s and 40s. He is now the Director of the Reinberger Galleries at the Cleveland Institute of Art.
