Antique Italian Art Pottery Vase
A beautiful piece of stile liberty or "liberty style" pottery. This is a figural angel vase with exquisite wings sweeping around to the back of the piece. The lines combined with the stunning glaze and colorwork have produced a wonderful piece.
The art nouveau lines and coloring of this item are beautiful. The soft orange flowing to yellow and then to the pink of the chest and wings is further enhanced by speckling that is varied across the vase. The exterior finish is matte, with the interior having a slight gloss glaze.
The base of the vase is signed, but we have been unable to identify the artist by name. Should anyone know this signature, we would love to be able to properly attribute it.
Measures 6 1/2 inches tall and approximately 4 1/2 inches in diameter. The base is approximately 2 3/8 inches in diameter.
