It features a 4-star aluminum swivel base and original leatherette upholstery in a gorgeous shade of deep, dark brown with aubergine undertones. The chair retains Fritz Hansen A/S, Made in Denmark 2003 manufacturer’s stickers and stamp on base. The “Swan” lounge chair was originally designed in 1958 by designer and architect Arne Jacobsen (Danish, 1902-1971) for the lobby of the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, Denmark; a building he also designed. Along with Jacobsen’s “Egg” chair, the Swan, with its graceful and organic sculptural lines, has become one the most iconic chairs of mid-20th century Danish modern design.

CONDITION
Excellent vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. Minor wear and marks to fabric expected with normal use.
