This antique nickel-plated dental cuspidor wall mount was manufactured by The Brasscrafters, the trademark name of the J.P. Eustis Manufacturing Company of Boston, established in 1899. Known for producing a complete line of high-quality brass bathroom accessories, The Brasscrafters built their reputation on elegant design and exceptional durability.
This piece features a swiveling nickel-plated cuspidor bowl mounted to a sturdy curved bracket stamped with the “The Brasscrafters” maker’s mark. The silver-toned nickel plating retains its period patina, bearing surface wear consistent with age, which enhances its industrial charm.
PLEASE NOTE: Many modern toothbrushes do not fit in these older toothbrush holders.
About The Brasscrafters:
From 1899 through the early 20th century, The Brasscrafters manufactured nearly everything a well-appointed bathroom of the era required, including towel bars, baskets, cup holders, mirrors, toilet paper holders, match holders, sponge holders, and even shower components. Their products were often stamped with patent dates of 1902, 1904, or 1912 and were admired for their “indestructible” silver-soldered joints, which contributed to their long-lasting reputation.
