"Provisional View #15" is ominous yet warmly inviting. It depicts an oxblood red sky with a line of street lamps illuminating trees on the lower edge of the picture. There are 3 telephone wires in the upper right corner.
Signed and titled on the back.
The painting is floated in a red-gold shadow box frame. 22" x 18"
Very good pre-owned condition. No damage to artwork or to frame.
Janaki Lennie came to the United States in 1994 and currently lives and works in Portsmouth, NH. She has a BFA from Curtin University in Western Australia and an MFA from University of Houston. She says of her art, "I make art to reconcile romantic, art historical notions of landscape with the reality of urban environment." She has exhibited around the world and has been collected by museums and institutions in Australia and USA.
