Admitted to the Académie de Saint-Luc in 1767, she exhibited there from 1774.

In 1783, she became one of the first women admitted to the Académie Royale de Peinture et de Sculpture, alongside Élisabeth Vigée-Le Brun—a victory for the advancement of feminist rights in the 18th century!
