The contemporary Thonet chair No. 214 was originally designed by Michael Thonet in 1859 as chair No. 14. Together with chairs No. 18 and No. 56, this was one of Thonet's most popular chairs. The chair was "redesigned" for Thonet in the 1960s by Paul Stanoβek. This set of chairs was produced in 1996. Marked THONET96 and with paper Thonet label. This piece has an attribution mark,
