From the estate of a vintage/antique dealer, this vintage Mexican terracotta oversized chicken planter is in excellent condition. Handcrafted from warm, reddish clay, this piece features a stylized bird form with textured feather and basket weave details. Its unglazed surface and organic imperfections reflect traditional folk pottery techniques from regions such as Oaxaca and Tonalá. The last two photos show natural cracks that happened during firing and don't affect the stability of the piece. Perfect as a decorative vessel, succulent planter, or statement accent in a bohemian, farmhouse, or Southwestern setting.
This can also be used as a kitchen counter planter for herbs or fill with eggs for the perfect farm to table decor.
