An acrylic on canvas by the American artist James Massena March (1953-2021). Titled "Linear Composition with Grids," this abstract work has a purple-blue background punctuated with a vibrant red and blue grid as well as green and beige lines. Signed and titled to the verso, the painting is displayed in a black wooden frame.
James Massena March was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and spent most of his life living in Ohio. March attended The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and Rhode Island School of Design for some time, eventually receiving his Bachelor's degree from Cleveland State University and Master's of Fine Art at Kent State University. His work is in the collections of PNC Bank, Cleveland State University, and Case Western Reserve University.
