Friso Kramer metal wire coat rack design from the fifties, well documented in the orignal 1950s magazine 'goed wonen'; this model is called 'Deurne' or DH05. Minimalist on its best; the wire construction has an integrated hat-shelf function. Attractive neutral color black with original red hooks. Together with the Toonladder / musical scale coat rack by Pilastro, this is a Dutch coat hanger icon.
Metal Spectrum furniture was clearly inspired by the work of Prouve and Rietveld, Kramer can be mentioned in the same sentence as Dutch designers Cees Braakman and Kho Liang Ie.
Very good and solid condition, no broken wires or weldings. This is the large edition with 7 hooks. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
from
misattribution
