This is a Royal Worcester "Evesham Vale" covered oval casserole baking dish. Perfect for serving baked casseroles such as Shepherd's Pie. This casserole dish is freezer to oven safe, and can be served directly from the oven to table. My advice is to buy beautiful, quality cookware such as this and then actually use it for every day cooking - don't leave it sitting in a china cupboard. Beautify and enjoy your life.
The "Evesham Vale" pattern was produced from 1961 until 2015.
This casserole dish is pre-owned but it looks as if it has rarely been used (it's been sitting in the previous owner's china cupboard). There are no utensil marks on the porcelain, and the unglazed underside of the casserole dish looks unused. The gold on the lid knob has very slight wear (barely noticeable), but the gold edge trim and gold handles are unblemished.
