A 1950s Ritchie marine boat compass features a glass dome, a heavy black cast-iron casing and mounting bracket, and bright white directional arrows and degrees for navigation. The brass band and hardware have an aged patina with verdigris, which reinforces a sense of history and adventures past. An industrial, interactive object of curiosity for coastal, nautical-themed interiors and boating enthusiasts. As the photos illustrate, the compass can be mounted to a vertical (table, shelf, or mantle) surface OR a horizontal (wall) surface, and the free-moving compass will adjust itself to either orientation.
