Constructed from reclaimed solid walnut — once a butcher block countertop in a New Jersey estate — this table celebrates the wood’s history and character. The joinery is entirely hand-cut, featuring traditional mortise-and-tenon construction and precise lap joints. The top rests on a solid ash stretcher, adding both strength and subtle contrast. One leg bears a natural void, skillfully filled with epoxy to preserve the piece’s integrity and organic beauty. Finished with a hand-applied satin polyurethane to enhance the walnut’s natural tone.
