Signed lithograph by William Gropper (1897-1977), American cartoonist, painter, lithographer, and muralist, entitled 'Conference at the Bench'.
The lithograph depicts a courtroom scene, with lawyers conferring with a judge. The signed lithograph would make an excellent gift for someone in the legal profession.
A similar Gropper lithograph appears in the University of Delaware Museum's Art Collection.
The lithograph itself is in excellent condition. The mount has very faint spotting to it due to age, see photos (e.g. right side). The metal frame has some light scratches (see photos). These do not greatly diminish from the overall appearance of this rare piece.
