*Rare* complete Fireplace set.
Add timeless charm to your home with this authentic antique cast iron fireplace set (Surround, Summer Cover, Grate and floor piece), salvaged from a historic New Orleans property. This beautifully detailed piece features a stunning circular lattice centerpiece and intricate scrollwork accents, characteristic of Victorian-era design. The surround has clam shell work in the top corners.
Riding a crest of cotton prosperity, nineteenth-century Mobile produced one of the South's most beautiful decorative ironwork that adorned the city's homes, squares, sidewalks, cemeteries. This famous ironwork of Mobile’s 'iron lace' spread well beyond the core of the city and New Orleans’s French Quarter.
