These wooden quills are Factory Reclaimed from a defunct site in the North Eastern United States. The thread has been added later for display purposes and is likely dated to the 1960-70's. I wouldn't trust it for sewing. The wooden quills were used in actual production and show patina and wear, which adds to their appeal. These make great decor items clustered in a basket on the hearth, they can also be arranged in three dimensional framed art and wall pieces.
