Of the six chairs, three have minor marks on the legs that have been filled with wood putty, while the others show only normal wear for their age. All chairs are solid, sturdy, and feature natural rope/rush woven seats.

The tabletop has light wear consistent with age and use, reflecting the care and love it has received over the years. There is wear on the table top, with some minor cracks in the walnut which only adds to the piece (see photos). The trestle features distinctive wooden dowels at either end, with two iron pins underneath—visible in the photos—that add to its unique craftsmanship. The table top does not come apart from the base and it is a very heavy table. Square wooden nails are also visible on each end of the tabletop, highlighting its hand-crafted character. There is also an initial of “RJ” inscribed on the bottom which I believe is the initials of the person who made this table.

This is a beautiful, timeless set that is built to last for many years to come. See less
