Multicolored, iridescent abstract composition by Judith W Winslow (JW) (American, 1943-2023). This piece is textured and layered, with multiple colors blending into each other. The primary palate is black with pink, green, blue and metallic gold. Depending on the angle, this piece can change colors and reflect light in different ways. There are a few piece of quartz affixed to the piece. "LOVE" is written in cursive around the composition.

Signed and dated "J Winslow 94" in the lower right.

JW Winslow (American, 20th C) was a writer, poet, TV producer, and television show personality. Winslow was a fascinating artist from Big Sur California. She came to the Monterey peninsula in the 1990s on a business trip. A chance decision to walk on the beach near Fisherman's wharf cut the mold for J W right then and there. She moved to Monterey and at first lived in Pacific Grove. Later she moved to Carmel Woods in a small artists cottage. Over the years she developed and style and method, including using recycled materials, and created her own style. Many locals came to her studio to purchase her works. She took work at a local Cannery row architectural firm to pay the bills. Later she found her home to be Big Sur, her spiritual and artistic base of operations. As a successful radio personality, she was asked to create a TV show on art and artists. She had numerous shows on local and Community television. See less
