A chic set of light gray painted French dining chairs, upholstered with gilt embossed leather seats and fine complementary upholstery … Read more A chic set of light gray painted French dining chairs, upholstered with gilt embossed leather seats and fine complementary upholstery on the seat backs. An unusual silver threaded embroidery on Tuscan red colored linen is on the fronts. A subtle gold flecked woven fabric in a matching color is found on the seat backs, which picks up the gilt embossing of the leather seats from visible when the chairs are in place at a table. Chairs date ca. 1930’s, with attractive signs of age and varying degrees of wear and patina to the painted surfaces. Sprung seats are firm and comfortable. Leather has signs of age, but is in good vintage condition. The fabric upholstery is all freshly done and new.
