A 2016 oil on linen painting by the American artist Marna Shopoff. Titled "Abstracting Hues," this dynamic work captures a prism-like array of shards of color in blue, pink, purple, and green. Signed, dated, and titled to the verso, the painting is unframed with unpainted gallery wrapped edges.
An Indianapolis artist, Shopoff received her Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts degrees from the Herron School of Art and Design in Indianapolis. She has also taught at Herron in both the Drawing and Foundations programs. Shopoff has received numerous awards, including the Stutz Resident Artist Award and the Individual Artist Award from the Indiana Arts Commission.
