The measure 5 1/2" in diameter. Firstly, they would make a fabulous installation of decorative wall plates due to their vivid coloring. The pattern was first produced in the mid-1800s. This collection represents all of the earliest production dates. Plate "A" would be the earliest dated c.1850, since it only has an impressed mark in lieu of a maker's mark. The "newest" would be plates "B" & "C" produced c.1891, and the mid aged is plate "D" produced c.1862 -1891. The gaudy willow or colored willow is a variation on the widely known blue willow pattern. Please see detail of each plate marked by letter. There are two condition issues that should be mentioned. Plate "D" has a glaze crack (last photo). The plate is stable. Plate "D" (pictured 2nd to last photo) is also missing the green coloring to the yard in front of the pagoda. Due to their different dates of production spanning decades, there are small variances in the coloring. This does not detract, but one would argue enhances the uniqueness of this collection. less
