Jan pieter berghoef blue & white lounge chair for spectrum, netherlands, 1960s
a striking example of dutch modernism, this lounge chair was designed by architect jan pieter berghoef for spectrum in the 1960s. With its clean architectural lines and bold contrast between the white lacquered wooden frame and newly reupholstered deep blue corduroy cushions, the chair showcases berghoef’s minimalist yet playful aesthetic.
recently reupholstered in a rich, textured cotton corduroy, the chair offers both visual appeal and comfort. The generous seat depth and wide armrests reflect its original intent as a true lounge chair—relaxed, stylish, and distinctly modern.
