Knud nielsen (1916–2008) was a danish painter and ceramist, born on september 16, 1916 in fredensborg and passed away on may 13, 2008. A self-taught artist, he made his debut in 1941 at the autumn exhibition in copenhagen. Nielsen co-founded the linien ii group in 1947 and developed an abstract expressionist style with influences from the cobra movement. His work spanned painting, watercolor, ceramics, and printmaking, including public commissions like at vanløse library. He was also a member of the spiralen and grønningen art associations . See less
