Total dimensions: w 48.5 cm x h 40.5 cm. John emanuel carlson (born july 16, 1896, in överselö – died march 31, 1979, in sundbyberg) was a swedish artist and painter. He studied at pratt institute, brooklyn, new york, united states, the art students league in new york, 1924-1927, the royal swedish academy of fine arts, stockholm 1932—1934. He lived in the united states from 1915 to 1929 and painted mainly landscapes with native americans. He participated in the brooklyn museum exhibitions in 1926, 1928 and 1932 as well as in an exhibition in chicago. He painted landscapes from norrland and motifs from the stockholm area, preferably from sundbyberg. See less
