This Vintage Turkish Oushak Rug, measuring 4'8" x 14', is handwoven with wool on a wool foundation in the Oushak region of Western Turkey. The Anatolian plateau, known as the cradle of oriental rug weaving, features villages that each developed unique designs and color palettes seldom duplicated by their neighbors. These antique rugs have been frequently depicted in historic European paintings. Their striking geometric patterns and gentle hues have made them highly sought after by interior designers.
