This old Man has a slight Karl Marx feel and is very well executed in an impressionist style with thick heavy brushstrokes which are continued in an abstract expressionist manner at the bottom of the figure. The painting is signed M E Hoy for Martin Hoy. Probably dates to the 1960s or early 70s.

Condition: Good vintage condition. Repaired tear with overpainting on the forehead area. Some damages and small tear around the edge of the canvas.
