This 18th/19th Century Giltwood Architectural Pediment is gorgeous, and although it was originally designed to crown a doorway or window but can be repurposed to serve as a headboard accent, mirror crest, or even a decorative wall mount.
French architectural ornamentation
Handcarved giltwood with time-softened patina
Central crest showcases arrangement of scrolling acanthus leaves and radiating plumes
Textured basketweave medallion at the center with curling volutes and scalloped lower edge
Good condition although it displays minor losses, wear to the gilding, and age-related separations
