Detailed still life and landscape by Harry Federico (American, 1922-2022). Several potted plants sit on a porch with a white wrought iron chair. Beyond the porch is a large green hedge and a bright blue sky. It is possible that this is the artist's home in Santa Cruz County.

Harry Federico (American, 1922-2022) was born in Denver, Colorado, but lived most of his life in the Santa Cruz and San Jose areas of California. He studied at the University of Washington, but was served during WWII, in the Navy as a Combat Air Crewman. Federico had several successful careers, as a tailor, a life insurance agent, and a financial planner. When he retired, he turned his efforts toward painting, pursuing it for over 20 years. He became notable in the Santa Cruz County area for his detailed watercolors of local scenes.
