Trompe l'Oeil Still Life and Landscape in Acrylic on Masonite
Still life in the trompe l'oeil style by Richard M. Bacon (American, 20th Century). A still life with a bottle, fishbowl, and binoculars is arranged in front of an open window. The window looks out on a body of water, with a sailboat tied up at the dock. There is a dark green border painted into the composition, with some of the objects in the painting extending beyond the border, creating an optical illusion.
Signed and dated "RM Bacon 01" in the lower right corner.
Presented in a wood frame.
