Made by Kovona, a company founded in 1913 by the then owner Petr Vichr. It has been re-polished with polyutherane piano lacquer by our professional refurbishing team in Czechia according to the original process. The chrome parts have been cleaned and professionally restored. Sold individually This item features classic Art Deco elements. Art Deco is a style that originates from France in the early 20th century. Its furniture designs are meticulously crafted, usually using exotic woods. More about the manufacturer: Kovona, a company founded in 1913 by the then owner Petr Vichr. At the beginning of 1914, the business started importing and installating energy and machinery equipment. At the end of 1914, the production of small household appliances began - shovels, hangers, lids, but also metal furniture. Later, more expensive goods were produced such as chrome furniture, home furniture with wooden accessories, lacquered hospital and school furniture, kitchen scales and later office furniture. In 1938, the company was retroactively transformed into a joint-stock company. In 1946, the company was nationalized and the national company KOVONA was formed. At present, KOVONA as is the largest manufacturer of metal furniture in the Czech Republic. They design, manufacture and sell a wide range of products for locker rooms, offices, warehouses and workshop operations." This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
