We are selling this unusual and potentially very early bronze piece. We believe that this piece is Hellenistic in Origin and might be Greek or possibly Roman. We believe this bronze figure of a woman holding a basket or symbolic flower on her head was probably part of some other object, possibly a handle for something. The bronze fragment has since had a soapstone base created to hold the piece.
Condition: General age related patina and wear. Soapstone base has some damages.
