Stunning and beautiful faux- bamboo styled pine 10 peg coat rack likely made in France. 2 of the 10 pivots appear to be made of tin. The other 8 appear to be brass. Thus, in its long life the piece has been restored.
Specifically designed to hold multiple hats, coats and scarves, outerwear and similar every day essential items.
The top 3 pegs have an additional upper peg to hold items more securely.
The piece evokes an exoticism popular in France from the late 19th century to the earliest part of the 20th century. The warm natural pine wood has developed a gorgeous patina over time adding to its authenticity. The natural wood finish adds a touch of organic warmth to any space. It contains 2 holes for mounting on a wall. The 10 pivot pins allow the rack to be opened and stored with ease.
Opened to an eye pleasing accordion shape its dimensions are: 36" wide, 4.5" deep, and 13" high.
