A 130 foot J class yacht built by Camper and Nicholson in Gosport England for aviator Tom Sopwith, Endeavour challenged New York Yacht club defender Rainbow for the 1934 America's Cup. In 1984, Elizabeth Meyer purchased and rebuilt Endeavour over a period of 5 years. Endeavour sailed again after in 1989 for the first time in 52 years. With a sleek gold and navy blue hull, the Endeavour model has a detailed deck including lifeboat, wheel, skylights, hatches, winch, railings, anchor, rope coils etc... Rigged with quality stitched linen sails.
This Endeavour model is mounted with turned brass pedestals into a custom molded mahogany baseboard with brass trimmed glass dome.
