Model of the 1903 3-masted schooner yacht "Atlantic". Built at the Townsend and Downey shipyard of New York from a design by Willian Gardner. Commissioned by New York Yacht Club member Wilson Marshall. She represented the Club in the Kaiser's Cup of 1905 and set the record for the fastest transatlantic passage, a record that remained unbroken for nearly a century. The model is generously detailed with lifeboats, capstan, funnel, cabins, skylights, rope, portholes, running lights etc... Displayed in a quality, custom made glass and brass trimmed case.
