Fabulous 1986 Margie Hughto original one-of-a-kind summer fragments glazed ceramic wall sculpture artwork.
Hand-signed and dated by the artist on the lower right front and titled on the back.
This botanical impression artwork evokes the essence of summer through natural elements, organic forms, fragmented shapes, and delicate textures.
The process involves pressing real botanical materials like leaves and flowers into a soft wet clay, then carefully removing them to leave a detailed imprint, and then finishing the piece with glazing and firing.
This unique handmade artwork showcases the unique touch of the artist and the inherent variations that come from working with natural materials and processes.
The artwork prominently features a multi-tonal and earthy color palette with distinct pops of vibrant hues. The dominant colors are various shades of green and teal, ranging from muted, desaturated greens to richer, deeper teal tones. Earth tones and brown areas with off-white, beige, and light brown tones, especially around the edges, providing a natural, organic base. A striking splashes of bright red, appearing as small dots. And hints of soft blue and muted purple are also visible in various areas.
This exquisite artwork is a breathtaking piece of collectible art.
