Early 20th Century Toile Receiving Tray - artisan hand painted on metal in an 18th/19th C. Style.

Octagonal shape is 12.5" wide by 8.75" deep, with a useful 1" tall tilted rim around the perimeter.

Lovely artisan paint work in a leaves and fruit style, leading with green, orange, red, gold, and a warm ivory cream.

Underfinish is a subtle burl black/brown/copper treatment, with shows very nice faux-finish style work.

Signed on the reverse "Original in Mrs. Audrey H. Dunn's Collection - C P Galleher."

Showing lots of surface patina, which actually makes it all the more charming! Imagine this being in the front hall of a lovely home and being used to receive visitors calling cards, hold keys and fobs of all types, and many more daily uses.
