Abstract diptych featuring a print by David Hockney, unsigned. Starting in February 1986, Hockney began using a photocopier as a hybrid camera‑press device, layering colors through successive toner prints, yielding spontaneous, painterly outcomes in minutes. These were informally produced, often small (roughly 10.75″ × 10″), untitled, vibrant experimental prints on cardboard - classified as his “Home‑Made Prints” non‑signed, non‑numbered abstract compositions in color. Acquired from an estate that had no further information on the history or chain of custody of this piece. This set is unverified as part of the original prints but shows all the characteristics of vintage professional, custom framing, mounting and display efforts and thus displays beautifully. Framed, prints and matting are in great condition - acrylic glass front shows minor wear. Original, custom made wood green frame is vibrant and has a great profile depth. Wood joints are separating at two corners and there is some splintering to one side - none of this impacts the artwork or visual impact of the overall piece. This untitled design is published within Hockeny's A Retrospective.
