Brutalism, translated into glass.

Bertil Vallien’s Metropolis series, produced by Kosta Boda in the 1980s, remains a landmark in Scandinavian glass art. This vase demonstrates Vallien’s mastery of architectural form: four stacked rectangular blocks forming a stepped tower, softened by frosted surface texture and dense, effervescent bubbles within the cobalt glass.
