Crafted in France circa 1880, this antique folding ladder combines rustic charm with traditional craftsmanship. Built of solid pine, the A-frame structure features six steps, including the top platform, supported by sturdy angled legs with visible pegged joinery and original iron hardware.
The ladder is fitted with a hinged locking bar mechanism for added stability when opened and folds flat for convenient storage. The rectangular top platform provides a practical standing surface, while the natural pine finish reveals beautiful wood grain, knots, and a warm, timeworn patina.
In excellent condition commensurate with age and use, this versatile antique ladder would make a charming addition to a country kitchen, library, or farmhouse interior.
