The original fabric is in great condition for its age. The oak frame and base have scratches, dents, dings and wear throughout, especially on the arms. The bottom of the bases show some water stains, scuffs and chips. The swivel mechanisms freely turn as they should. There is a makers mark on the bottom of the chairs.
