A very cool decorative piece -- appears to be a planter -- though there are so many possibilities. It is not lined and not recommended to hold water so faux plants are a consideration. It would be fun to store wine and champagne bottles, kitchen utensils, etc.
There is one more available in my shop. They would make a great pair!
