This work is unsigned, but in our opinion it can be attributed to Claudio Pulli, born in Puglia, who trained first at Tavolara and then in Faenza, where he learned various ceramic techniques, such as engobe, glazing, lead coating, and tin glaze. Working in Sardinia in Selargius, Cagliari, he achieved great fame, participating in various exhibitions and also organizing solo shows, one even in Tokyo, presenting his art inspired by Sardinia and its archaic craftsmanship. This fabulous motherhood of kittens is, in our opinion, a clear example of this, as they seem to have been carved out of rock like the first forms of primitive sculpture.
