The work depicts a classical-style scene inspired by the frescoes discovered in the archaeological excavations of Herculaneum, depicting seated and standing female figures, a winged putto, and a male figure, in an elegant neoclassical style. The dark background highlights the delicacy of the draperies and the purity of the forms, executed with extreme technical precision.
