The tobacco leaf pattern is a lavish 18th century Chinese export pattern probably created for the Portuguese and Brazillian markets. The design was highly prised by the elites including George and Martha Washington., and is characterized by it intricate arrangement of 27 to 28 colors and 22K gold accents. It was designed and made during the qianlong period dating from 1736 to 1795 during the qing dynasty. These are made in China in the same manner as the original. See less
