Georgian Sheffield plate tea caddy, circa 1820. Oval form with rope-twist borders, lion mask
ring handles, and a bold floral knop finial. The surface features exposed copper bleed-through
beneath the silver—a hallmark of early Sheffield plate. Left with its original, untouched
patina, rich with time-earned character that could never be replicated if polished. A
handsome and historic piece for tea storage or display. Impressed early Sheffield
marks/numbers see photo.
