Originally manufactured to hold "Tattoo" brand cosmetics; specifically … Read more 1930 Art Deco era bakelite and chrome bowl with a hinged lid. Originally manufactured to hold "Tattoo" brand cosmetics; specifically for displaying lipstick at a department store counter. When the spherical box is open a glass mirror is visible on the underside of the lid. This piece currently has a white ceramic bowl inside that the previous owner used in it and it will be included as it fits perfectly and is practical. It can, however, be removed as shown in the pictures. The heavy black bakelite base has "TATTOO" engraved on the front facing edge and the entire piece is in very good condition, with only wear from ageing of materials. Bakelite has no cracks and the chrome is rust-free and can be polished. See less
